MSYSA Soccer Spotlight: U9 Garden City Lightning
Congratulations to the U9 Garden City Lightning team for earning MSYSA Soccer Spotlight Team of the Month Honors! The girls began travel soccer in Fall 2007. They finished the season by attending the MSYSA Telcom Credit Union Cup and setting new goals for the spring. The Lightning worked on teamwork and conditioning over the winter season and finished Spring 2008 undefeated! The girls proceeded to attend the 2008 Kohls American Cup, where they displayed enormous amount of selfless and generosity when they decided to participate in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Kicks for Cancer program. Their hard work and dedication to helping others is truly an inspiration, and MSYSA is proud to have the girls in our program and hope they never forget how powerful their actions can be!
