MSYSA Soccer Spotlight: U15 Gaylord Fire
Congratulations to the U15 Gaylord Fire team for becoming the last MSYSA Soccer Spotlight Team of the Month for 2006! In the past two years, this recreational travel team has worked hard to compile an amazing 64-15-12 record. They have attended and had either 1st or 2nd place finishes at numerous local tournaments including TBAYS Autumn Classic, Alpine Soccer Stampede, and Midland Fusion. Most recently they traveled to and finished 2nd at Schwan’s USA Cup in Minnesota. The girls and their parents worked for nearly a year to raise money in order to attend the Schwan’s USA Cup, which featured nearly 1000 teams from 28 states and 17 different countries. At the tournament they went 6-1, and kept a clean sheet until their final game. Congratulations to all the girls and keep up the good work!
